I haven't updated in a long time...perhaps I've had more of a writers/creators block...

Any rate, I've been really busy with school and work and life and actually doing work for the magazine...a full mock will be ready no later than the 16th of this month, which doesn't leave me much time left. I've been doing nothing but layouts for work, school, and the mag...so I'm pretty design blank for today at least.

I've decided to stop working on Finder's Keeper's since I'm also drawing blanks there too. I haven't been able to focus enough on it or come up with a decent story outline. I knew starting on it before I had a grasp of the story was a mistake. I'm good at working with short stories, but with a long-term I start losing focus or just end up getting writer's block.

This project is actually bigger than what I make it out to be anyway. I need my mom's help with the story line since she is a published writer and knows the main character very well. Greenie has been a part of my life since I was an infant. The plan has been to write a full novel involving these characters and a graphic novel as a companion to the book. I think for a long-term, this project works well....but I can't grasp my head around it at this time.

So I'm putting Finder's Keeper's on the shelf for now. If I'm actually going to attempt to publish it later on, I will definitely need practice on drawing storyboards and consistent character sketches.

However, there is a good light to this tunnel... I have two fanfic of Bleach pairings that have been really popular here and in other communities...plus I've been satisfied with the sequence. Good thing is that they are short stories, about 1,000 words in length. I've decided that for practice on storyboarding a graphic book, I will mirror the fanfics written. If they become popular enough, I could even print out them and sell as a doujinshi.

Alrighty, so Chapter 1 is finally done... I figure each chapter will be between 15-20 pages...so we'll see how it goes.
